Day 13 & 14: ML 2

Class Tuesday and Thursday:
  • Present your ML 2 when you scheduled on our shared google docs. 
  • You only need to attend the class you are presenting. 
  • Please arrive on time and do not leave early. 
Homework: 
  • Bring this document to class. 
  • Answer questions anonymous on this Informal Early Feedback form. If all 26 students answer, I will bring cookies! Please help me be a better instructor.

  • Review Reductions
    • Practice Reductions in groups. 
  • Continue EPI
    • I will put you with a partner and give you an EPI practice template. You have different EPI templates. 
    • Half of you will get D
    • Half of you will get B
    • Record the entire interview on your phone or other recording device. 
  • ML 2 
Homework:
  • Do EPI Reflection and turn it in by next Thursday. 
  • Prepare for your mini-lecture on Tuesday or Thursday next week.

Day 7- Fillers and Rhythm

Class Today:

  • Introduce Unit 2: Defining a Term
  • Fillers
    • Give me some examples of fillers
    • Take turns talking about one of the topics on p. 151 for two minutes. Do not stop talking. Other group members should count the number of fillers. 
    • General idea: A few fillers are ok, but be aware of using too many.
  • Rhythm
